In owners' words

"We'd welcome her back anytime."

Justyna was great with temi, providing photos and updates. She cleaned up before leaving, which wasn’t required but which was very thoughtful and considerate. Thank you :)

Justyna was a fantastic sitter and we'd welcome her back anytime. She stayed at our place for a week looking after Brock and was completely reliable throughout. She sent daily updates and photos, kept up his walks, and took him out to lots of different spots so he stayed happy and well-exercised. She also treated our home with real care and left it clean and exactly as she found it. Communication was easy from start to finish. We'd recommend her without hesitation!

A patient, reliable person and a gentle soul.

I was away for three weeks and JJ stayed at my place in the countryside with our old dog Kokos and Rudy, our rescue cat. I don't write many reviews but she earned this one.

Kokos is 13 and his back legs aren't what they were. He needs his tablets every day and walks that go at his speed. JJ managed all of it without any fuss. She wrote to me most days, sometimes just a photo of him lying in the sun, which was exactly what I wanted to see.

The cat took to her as well, which surprised me, as she normally wants nothing to do with visitors.

The garden was in good shape when I got back, better than I usually manage myself in summer, and the house was clean and cared for. If she is willing to come again I would have her back like a shot. A patient, reliable person and a gentle soul. Recommended without reservation.

What your pet and home get

Everything you'd do, done the way you do it.

  • Their routine, kept

Feeding times, meds, quirks and bedtime habits, done the way your pet expects. Both of the dogs on my recent sits took regular medication.

  • Walks at their pace

From Temi, a German Shorthaired Pointer needing 2 hours of activity a day, to a 13-year-old with tired back legs. One owner wrote that I took their dog "to lots of different spots so he stayed happy and well-exercised."

  • Daily photos & messages

You hear from me every day, photos included, so you can actually switch off while you're away.

  • Plants & garden

Watering plants is one of my favourite rituals of the day. I've tended everything from a windowsill of herbs to full gardens.

  • A home that's lived in

I work online from your home, so the house is occupied and watched over, and your pet has company for most of the day.

  • Left as I found it, or better

I fix the wobbly hinge, take the bins out without being reminded, and clean up before I leave.

About me

A grounded nomad who loves a settled home.

I'm a coach: I spend my days helping people slow down and be a little kinder to themselves. It's quiet work, done online on my own schedule, which leaves room for a slow breakfast, a walk, and a nap companion if one happens to live where I'm staying.

My home base is Barcelona, and I spend about six months a year in the Bay Area. Pet sitting is what makes that seasonal life work: you travel knowing your animal is with someone attentive and home a lot, and I get a settled home and a furry companion while I'm here.

Outside of that you'll find me surfing, out dancing, or lost in a book about psychology. I speak five languages and believe the best things, animals included, can't be rushed.

Month-long stays preferred. Longer stays are calmer for your pet and give us both a proper routine. Shorter sits are welcome too, so just ask.

Questions owners ask

Good questions, honest answers.

Can we meet before the sit?

Yes, please. Meeting first is how I like to start, so you can see how your pet and I get on and show me their routine. On my San Francisco sit with Brock, we met in person before the owners left for the airport. Email me and we'll find a time that suits you.

What happens if something goes wrong, or my pet needs the vet?

I ask for your welcome guide before every sit, so your vet, emergency contacts and house notes are written down before you leave, and we agree what you want me to do if something comes up. Giving medication is one of my listed skills: every dog on my recent sits was on regular medication, and Aga's reference describes me managing her 13-year-old dog's daily tablets "without any fuss."

How often will I hear from you?

Every day, with photos. Both of my owner reviews mention the daily updates and photos, so you can actually switch off while you're away. If you'd like more or less than that, just tell me.

Will my home be kept the way I left it?

Yes. Chad wrote that I "left it clean and exactly as she found it," and Gabriel noted that I cleaned up before leaving. Plants get watered, bins go out, and the little things get noticed.

Can we overlap for a handover?

Yes. We agree arrival and departure windows ahead of time, and I'm happy to arrive while you're still home so you can walk me through feeding, meds, walks and the house before you go. It's the calmest way for your pet to meet me too.

Will my pet be alone all day?

Not much. I work online as a coach on my own schedule, so I'm home a lot and your pet keeps their company and routine. Your home stays lived-in and looked after while you're away.

My pet is shy, anxious or elderly. Is that okay?

Very much so. I let animals set the pace instead of forcing a friendship, which is why shy pets tend to warm up to me quickly. My profile lists senior dogs, senior cats, puppies and kittens among my skills.

How long can you stay?

I'm happiest on month-long stays, especially in the Bay Area, and I'm open to shorter sits and to other places between my Bay Area stays. See availability above, then email me your dates.

Going away? Let's talk about your sit.

Tell me your dates, where you are, and a little about your pets. I'll reply personally.
